They were given the opportunity to eat every five hours or eat six meals every two hours for three consecutive days. The study participants then switched to another diet for three consecutive days as an extra.

From there it is known that the frequency of feeding did not influence appetite in men who undergo a normal protein diet. Instead, the researchers found in men in the high-protein group in which they feel adequate calories in the evening and late at night after a meal three times a day.

"We want people to know that this is not the Atkins-style diet. In this type of diet, you still get enough fiber through the intake of fruit and vegetables, "said Leidy.
